Nestled between Wellington and the Pond Cypress Natural Area, the Village of Royal Palm Beach offers a respite from urban life. Home to almost 35,000 residents, this picturesque village lies just 10 miles west of the Atlantic Ocean and the city of West Palm Beach.
Known for its many parks and green spaces, its highly performing schools and its welcoming, small-town feel, it's no surprise that Royal Palm Beach has been recognized as one of the Top 10 Best Towns for Families in the U.S. and as a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation.
Royal Palm Beach was incorporated in 1959; carved out of former swampland in the 1950s, the town's signature waterways and green spaces give Royal Palm Beach its unique character and scenery. Today, real estate in the village is booming and runs the gamut, from affordable condos and townhouses, to single-family homes in planned communities such as Bella Terra, to homes on large lots with room for horses to run in neighborhoods such as the Acreage.
Golf enthusiasts gravitate toward one of Royal Palm Beaches' golf communities such as Madison Green, the Tradition Golf Club and the Village Golf Course. And, of course, with dozens of other courses -- many world-class -- within easy driving distance, there's always a course for the avid golfer to play in Royal Palm Beaches.
The area is known for its many outdoor recreational opportunities. The Village of Royal Palm Beach encompasses 11.5 square miles; that space consists of 336 acres of parks and green spaces, and 29 miles of winding waterways. The city's many parks include Preservation Park, which features a 33,000 square foot recreation center with two roller hockey rinks, a soccer complex, four lighted soccer and football fields, basketball courts and a skate park. The Royal Beach Commons Park offers kayaking and canoeing, fishing, miles of paved walking and jogging trails, a golf training center, and a three story sporting center. It's also the home of the Green Market and Bazaar, a weekly farmer's market featuring local organic produce and artisan products.
At the northeastern edge of Royal Palm Beach lies the Pond Cypress Natural Area and Grassy Waters Preserve, a 747 acre preserve that's the perfect setting for canoeing, kayaking and observing wildlife. It's also the home of the Owahee Apoxee Trail, which offers almost 17 miles of trail for biking, hiking, walking or horseback riding.
As for cultural activities, Royal Palm Beach offers those, as well. The Royal Palm Beach Cultural Center offers a 6,300 square foot space that hosts theater and musical performances, dances, shows and community events year round. The village is dotted with shopping centers, and the shopping mecca of West Palm Beach is just a few minutes away.
If you're seeking a quiet home with that friendly, small town feeling that's still close enough to all of the urban amenities, the Village of Royal Palm Beach offers the perfect solution! To explore this desirable community, Contact Us or call Veno Realty Group at 561-748-8366.
